The approach of runway 09 can be reached as well and again offers a good spot for photography. To reach this spot, you drive towards Weeze from spot 4 and turn left on the Baaler Strasse at Hees (towards Well and Baal). After about 3 kilometres you can turn left just before the airport fence stops. You can park your car here and walk along the fence. You will find yourself between the fence and a large sand/stone quarry. It is also possible to drive just inside the airport (outer) fence but this road is not always open. Beware: officially this spot is off-limits! (the best way is to go to help desk in terminal and report your self that you like to take some picture's then it is 99,9% ok to go there)

The next spot mentioned here is the threshold of runway 09. This spot is OK for take off shots when runway 27 is in use. Due to the distance you will need at least a 300 mm lens. You can reach this spot by walking (or driving) from spot 5 and keep following the fence.

The final spot is in the former RAF shelter area on the northern side of the airport. Standing on top of a bunker you have a great view of the runway and are close to the Northern taxi track. If you pass their location you can turn right towards former guard towers and position yourself there.
