Galway Airport is located at Carnmore, around five miles to the north-east of Galway city.  The airport was first opened to passengers in 1987 and has since went on to become the fastest growing airport in Ireland, in terms of passenger numbers.
Aer Arann is the main airline at the airport.  It operates flights to Cardiff, Dublin, Edinburgh, Luton, Manchester, Lorient and Leeds Bradford.
