Haugesund Airport is a small airport on the island of Karmøy, and serves the city of Haugesund and the Rogaland area of southwest Norway.  The airport serves mainly domestic flights on SAS, Ryanair also fly several times a week from Stansted offering cheap flights.  It is the 26th largest airport in Norway, with a throughput of just 531,728 passengers in 2006 (the latest year data is available).  It was formerly the main base for Coast Air.

In the summer it is light most of the day, only getting dark from around 1am until 2am, so even night movements can occur in daylight.  The downside is that in the winter it is only light for a few hours.
