Airlines usually coming to GVA are Easy Jet, Swiss, British Airways, Lufthansa and Air France. The other big users of the single 23-05 runway are Alitalia, Iberia, Tap, SN Brussels, KLM, SAS, Aer Lingus, etc. Intercontinental Flights are made by Air Mauritius, Kuwait Airways, Emirates (in 2006 planned), Continental, Saudi Arabian and Etihad. The planes mostly seen are A320 Family planes, 737s, MD8x and Avro. There are also a couple of CRJs and ERJs. Intercontinental flights are on A330s, A340s, B767s and B777s.

Winter time is the most interesting time in GVA as there are a lot of charter planes coming in from all over Europe for skiing. The traffic gets quite dense on saturdays and sundays.
