==Official Spotting Locations==

===9th Level of the Short Term Parking Garage===

Well on the 9th when you are coming up take a left and go all the way to the end.

===Bowling Alley===

The Bowling Alley is located where the Air Cargo entrance is. Just park all the way to the left at the fence and enjoy!

===Top Level of the Long Term Parking Garage===

Getting there you can walk or take a small monorail. Once you are on the top floor you have an excellent view of the Continental Connection ramp. This spot is good only when the traffic patterns are landing on the 36s.

==Other Spotting Locations==

===Economy Parking Garage===

A good location that I have found useful is all the way out,along the fence in the Economy Parking Garage. The only problem is that I have been run-ins with the cops, including my personal run-in. The spot is really good if the traffic patterns are landing on the 36s.

== '''Marriott Hotel''' ==

A great choice for spotters flying in to TPA is to take a room at the Marriott Hotel particularly after a long-haul flight. Virtually every room has views of at least part of the apron and one of the two parallel runways.

==Locations to Avoid==

===Veterans Entrance Road===

Locations to avoid are when you are coming in off the Veterans. The main road when you are coming in might seem nice but people don't like when you sit there. Plus you are not allowed to be standing there.

==Regular Traffic==
Regular Traffic at Tampa is normally:
*Southwest: Boeing 737
*Continental Connection: Beech 1900D
*Cape Air: Cessna 402
*American: McDonnell Douglas MD-80
*Delta: Boeing 757
==Official Spotting Locations==

Just outside of the terminal on the southwest end above the rail station. This doesn't allow you to get very close however, you have a good view of the runway and of the western most concourse (where most of the interesting stuff is).

==Other Spotting Locations==

If the weather is bad (rain, snow etc.) inside the main terminal, the windows by the point where people can meet those arriving on domestic flights. Also the grassy area above the rail lines next to the terminal provides excellent views of all the activity and there is a hole in the bushes 50 feet from the terminal that allows you get to it.

===Approach Field 23 End===

There is a field at the end of runway 23 where aircraft, if using that runway, will pass over you. Unfortunately no ground shots can be had from here as the runway is well set back with a hill a fence and trees in the way. Although this isn't the greatest place in the world to get pictures from, it is about the best Stansted has to offer and you are not going to be bothered here.

'''How To Get There''' - Coming off the M11, but pass the terminal area and head for Molehill Green and Elsenham. You'll need to go past Molehill Green and then there will be a turn on your left with a black sign for Hyteck Technologies. Turn left here and continue to the end of the road. You should be able to park your car at the end and walk in to the field for approach shots like those above. This map may help you. You need to turn left at "Gaunt's End" and continue down past "Mott's Hall" to the end of that road.

At this point you may get a visit from the police. They will do a stop and search but they won't move you on though. Just don't argue or refuse to the stop and search. The police are usually very friendly and sometimes even stop there for lunch and to do some spotting themselves. From time to time airport security asks plane spotters to leave this place but they have no right to do so, as the area is public land.

Another possibility for drivers is a quick stay at the Birchanger motorway services close to the end of 05. As far as can be seen there's nothing to stop spotters though better to be discrete and remember these service areas are on private land and the owner's security could move you on.
===Flyvergrillen===

Near the 22R threshold. A superb little burger bar that serves beer! You're higher than the taxiway in front of you so shooting anything that passes should be easy. It's nearly back lit all day but on long summer days it is excellent from around four a clock and until sunset. It takes around 30 minutes to walk from the terminal area, go past the domestic terminal (Terminal 1) and when you reach Gate Gourmet, turn left and it just straight ahead. Opens at 10.30 and closes around ten in the evening (during the summer anyway). There's plenty of free parking too, and if you use the viewing area you should buy something from the bar, but be warned - Danish prices are high (Kr38 for a cheese burger, Kr20 for a small coffee).

The long road you turn left onto is Amager Landevej. Bus number 73 goes along here. Take this in the direction of Dragør and get off at the end of the road just as the bus sharp right onto Tømmerupvej.
A big pdf map of the entire Copenhagen Metropolitan area bus network and other maps can be found at....
For photographers, a 55-200mm lens will do for take-offs on 22R / landings on 04L and a 300-400mm to catch aircraft taxying from landings on 12 and 22L / 04R.
===Runway 22L Approach===

Located on Kystvejen/Coastal Road. Catch them as they come in over the sea. A short walk from the terminal, taking you past SAS Technical Services hangars and a view over their apron. Takes about 15 minutes.

===Runway 22R Rotation point===

Located on Englandsvej. To get here follow directions to Flyvergrillen (as described above) - instead of going to the dead of the road end, where Flyvergrillen is located, follow the round as it turns right. Continue on this road until you reach the junction - turn right and you will see the runway across the road (which is in a tunnel). If you go under and through the tunnel some very nice shots can obtained. In the late afternoon go back to the other side of the tunnel.
You cannot park a car close to tunnel and you do have to negotiate a few lampposts.
Follow directions to RWY22L approach point and then continue another 2 kilometers, past the cargo facilities and the old SAS Commuter hangar. Takes at least thirty minutes and since this runway usually only is used in high winds make sure to bring warm clothes. There is no shelter anywhere near, and there is nowhere to park a car.

===Runway 12 Approach===

Located on Amager Landevej just next to the Gate Gourmet facility west of the airport terminals. See directions for Flyvergrillen as well as this spot is on the way there. As with Runway 30 this runway is only used in high winds. This location is in urban area and as such there are shelter from the wind several places (bus-stops, petrol station etc.).

===Runway 04L Approach===

Located on Tømmerupvej. This location is the typical approach shot-location. It is located quite a distance from the airport terminal and in nice and quite country-side settings. To get here follow directions to Flyvergrillen (as described above) - instead of going to the dead of the road end, where Flyvergrillen is located, follow the round as it turns right. Continue on this road until you come across the approach lights. It is about 4 kilometers from Flyvergrillen.
==Locations to Avoid==

There are not really any places to avoid. There are lots of local plane spotters and they usually get left to do what they please. Avoid stepladders near the perimeter fence as that will for sure trigger a visit by the Police.

==Regular Traffic==

SAS´ entire MD80 and Airbus fleet is based here. SAS B737s are rare. Most SAS wide body movements (both arrivals and departures) take place mid afternoon.

Other based fleets are Cimber Air (CRJ´s & ATR´s), DAT (ATR´s and soon a MD80) Sterling B737s, Air Greenland B757 & A330 and Atlantic Airways 146´s.

The Baltic countries have a strong presence with their airlines at CPH and occasionally bring in their smaller aircraft too.

Widebodies that fly into CPH on a regular basis include: Thai 744 - SIA 772 & 744F - Korean 744F - Air China 744F - China Cargo M11F - MYT A330 - Iran Air A310 - PIA A310 & 772 - DLH A300 - Delta 767.

Most of the common European airlines fly into CPH.
===Flyvergrillen===

===Runway 22L Approach===

Located on Kystvejen/Coastal Road. Catch them as they come in over the sea. A short walk from the terminal, taking you past SAS Technical Services hangars and a view over their apron. Takes about 15 minutes.
===Runway 22R Rotation point===

==Official Spotting Locations==
===View Terraces in Terminal 1 and 2===
The view terraces are in Terminals 1 and 2. They offer an outstanding view over the apron and runways despite the fact you'll have to spot through glass. As at 17th June 2010, both terraces can be visited for free. The entrances ("Aussicherterrase") are well sign-posted.

Terminal 1 terrace is shared with a restaurant / cafe and the dirty and tinted glass makes photography almost impossible.

{{anetlink|1563829}} (taken from Terminal 2's terrace)

===View Terrace at the Model Exhibition===
[[File:Ham terrace.jpg|thumb|Visitor Terrace at the Model Exhibition]]
There is another view Terrace at the Model Exhibition. Go outside of the terminal and walk 5 minutes to the north. You will see the Sign for the "Modelschau". There is a restaurant with a view Terrace. The entrance is for free, but unfortunately you'll have to spot through glass.

==Other Spotting Locations==
==="The Bridge" - Flughafenstrasse===
[[File:Ham_bridge.jpg|thumb|Bridge on the Flughafenstrasse]]
The spot can be reached from the airport terminal by walking to the north along the "Flughafenstrasse" toward Fuhlsbüttel. Walking time is about 10 minutes. You are very close to runway 23 arrivals and are also able to see departures on the same runway. On fullframe cameras you will need lenses from 100-300mm focal length. Light is good from 9am to 2pm.

http://maps.google.de/?ie=UTF8&t=h&ll=53.637943,10.009283&spn=0.000621,0.001742&z=20

==="P1" - Flughafenstrasse===
The spot is on top of a car park (named P1) at Flughafenstrasse. Walking time is about 5 minutes from the terminals. It's very similar to "The Bridge" but much more elevated.

==="Cafe Himmelsschreiber" - GAT===
The spot is probably the most versatile at HAM. Walking time is about 20 minutes from the terminals via "Weg beim Jäger". It's actually a Café with a terrace. You have great light almost the whole day depending on the runways in use. There is a lot of action as it is directly located on the General Aviation Terminal. Of course there is a fence which you can avoid using a three step ladder but with a crop camera you should be able to take photographs through the fence anyway. You may need wide angle lenses down to 24mm on fullframe as the action can get very close but make sure to have longer lenses as well.
== Holtkoppel ==

The end of the road Holtkoppel is very popular with locals and offers good views of action on 15/33.
You are very close to runway 23 arrivals and are also able to see departures on the same runway. On fullframe cameras you will need lenses from 100-300mm focal length. Light is good from 9am to 2pm.
==="Cafe Himmelsschreiber" - GAT===
===View Terraces in Terminal 1 and 2===
The view terraces are in Terminals 1 and 2.

There is another view Terrace at the Model Exhibition. Go outside of the terminal and walk 5 minutes to the north. You will see the Sign for the "Modelschau". There is a restaurant with a view Terrace. The entrance is for free, but unfortunately you'll have to spot through glass.
==Official Spotting Locations==

===Observation platforms===
Dusseldorf has two large observation platform.
'''PLEASE NOTE: In the case of inclement weather the viewing terraces will remain closed. The airport asks for your understanding'''

Dusseldorf International has 2 premium box-seats to watch the show of aircraft traffic at Dusseldorf International Airport. You can experience the airport activity live from the terminal, from the railway station or both!

From the observation deck on the roof of the new concourse B you can watch the air traffic on the apron and the aircraft dispatch procedures. You get to the observation platform from the third floor of the terminal.

*AirTeamImages.com sample photo: [http://www.airteamimages.com/31788.html]

*AirTeamImages.com sample photo: [http://www.airteamimages.com/39228.html]

The second platform can be found at the long distance train station (not to be mistaken with the local train station in the terminal!). Here you are just as close by to the planes, but there is no clutter at all. Therefore this place is preferable. When planes come in from the east they land on the far away runway, and take-off from the nearby runway. Lining up is very close by as well.

Just one ticket gives you admission to both observation decks. Because the rail station and terminal are quite far apart, the airport recommends using the Sky Train service to get from one observation terrace to the other. The ticket for the observation deck is also your ticket for the Sky Train. Be aware that the rail station deck is sometimes closed for special events. Therefore ask at the terminal deck before making a wasted trip!
===Location===
Just outside the train station you can see the police hangar. There is a crash gate you can poke your lense through to photograph any planes that may be outside. The local police wing has Bo-105s.
